Help Me Out?

Okay friends, strangers and creepy online stalkers I need your help. For a class I'm taking at Arizona State University I am having to create a guerilla marketing campaign. So basically something unconventional that will get attention drawn to me. I decided I wanted attention to my professional blog (Found Here :jhoustonarts.wordpress.com ) and this is where you come in. I am trying to get hits on my site so please please please visit my site, post it on Facebook or Twitter, and tell your buddies. I would greatly appreciate your help.

Like Books?

I'm not a huge reading buff, but I do love to collect and buy books that pertain to art and or crafting. I think that they expand my craft and allow me to apply new ideas to my projects. I was trolling Twitter the other day and stumbled upon this company that has an account. Their name is Chronicle Books, and they are a website that offers independently published books and goods.

They offer books ranging from Children's, Graphic Design, Pop Culture, and even Travel. There are 7 sections of books broken down into 44 sub-sections.

They even offer stationary items like address books and Moleskin items. Take a look and support an independent book store rather than a big corporation for a change.

Wooden Watches? What!

I stumbled upon an ad today while I was browsing the web and it caught my eye. I clicked the link and it took me to a website that sells watches..... Oh you're asking why is this so spectacular? A watch is a watch right? NO! These watches are made of wood! The Italian website WeWOOD sells two different styles of watches and they come in 4 different types of wood. I'm looking into buying one and so should you!

Oh and here is some info on the watches:
- Types of wood : Red Wing Celtis (Brown)
                  Ebony (Black)
                  Maple (Beige)
                  Guaiaco (Army)
- 100% Wood
- Hypo-allergenic
- Completely free of toxic chemicals

Here are some pictures of their products:

WeWOOD also partners with American Forests to plant one tree for every WeWOOD that is purchased, so there is a little extra motivation to buy one!

New C.D. And Loving It #5.

Check them out. Matt and Kim are more upbeat, and Mumford & Sons are more "songwriter-esque" with smooth lyrics and instrumental breakouts.

Riding The Wake...

This past weekend I made a trip up to Lake Bartlett with my buddy Austin and his family. I was just excited to get out of the house, but I was also anticipating riding a Jet Ski .... sorry I meant Wave Runner for the first time. I posted a couple months back about a trip I made to Horseshoe Lake(post here) with my dad, and this lake is a couple miles north of that. It is such a beautiful part of Arizona that is right there only an hour away, but not many people make the hour trip up there. The day was loads of fun and if you ever have the chance rent a Wave Runner and ride that puppy at Lake Bartlett, you won't be disappointed.

New C.D. And Loving It #4.

Hockey's Mind Chaos came out in October of 2009, so it's not a new release BUT the music is so relevant to what is being played right now. Take a listen. I dare you.

Just as a Bonus!......

Watch this movie it is the sequel to the original "Quarantine" it's in Spanish but subtitled in English. if you enjoy funny kind of predictable horror this is just your kind of movie!

Finally Art Gets A TV Show.

I have told my friends and family for years that there needs to be a tv show for artist where other artist compete, and the day has finally arrived! Hopefully the show has some talent. If not I won't be a happy camper. Only time will tell...

These Collapsing and Disheartening Days.

I need a break from all this stress that has been compiling... It will be the end of me. I need a break. I need to relax. People just stress me out. You may see less of me in the coming weeks. You may see more of me. It really just depends. Give me a break. Don't bother me with questions. I won't answer them. I will revert back to my "cave." See you later world. And those people you call inhabitants.

A Daily Dose of Positivity Goes A Long Way...

Just over a month ago my friend Keri and I decided we needed to put a little positivity in each others lives daily, so we have been sending pictures back and forth for the last 35 days. I wanted to share them with you so prepare for an over load of imagery! It will be so worth it, so look at all of the pictures.

These are most of the pictures I have received in the past 35 or so days... They are not in the same order, but that has nothing to do with anything. Visit Keri's Blog HERE!
